About the treatment
How it works
Morpheus8 is a fractional radiofrequency microneedling device. Fine gold-coated needles pass into the skin to a set depth and release radiofrequency energy at their tips, creating controlled heat in the deeper layers while leaving most of the surface untouched.
The skin responds by remodelling collagen and elastin over the following weeks. The depth and energy are adjusted for each area and skin type, which is why the same device can be used for fine lines on the face and for texture or laxity on the body.

What happens, step by step
Consultation
We talk through your concerns and medical history, examine the area and explain your options, the cost and the risks. You can take time to think it over.
Preparation
On the day we confirm your consent, take photographs for your record, and cleanse the skin.
Treatment
Numbing cream is applied for around 45 minutes. The handpiece is then passed across the skin in sections, and you will feel heat and pressure with each pulse.
Afterwards
You leave with written aftercare advice and our number. We check how you have settled at a review if one is needed.
Before
Preparing for your appointment
- Stop retinol, glycolic acid and other active skincare for at least five days beforehand
- Avoid sunbeds, self-tan and strong sun on the area for two weeks before
- Tell us about any medication you take, recent cosmetic treatments and any implants or metal in the area
- Tell us if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, as treatment is not carried out during this time
- Come with clean skin and no make-up on the area
After
Looking after yourself afterwards
- Keep the skin clean and moisturised, and avoid make-up for 24 hours
- Wear a high-factor sunscreen every day and stay out of strong sun
- Skip hot baths, saunas and strenuous exercise for 48 hours
- Leave active skincare such as retinol and acids for at least five days
- Call us if redness or swelling is getting worse rather than better

Is it suitable for darker skin tones?
Yes. Morpheus8 can be used on all skin types, with settings adjusted for your skin.
Does it hurt?
Numbing cream is applied beforehand. Most people feel heat and pressure during treatment.
How should I prepare?
Stop active skincare such as retinol, glycolic acid and salicylic acid for at least five days before and after treatment.
What is the aftercare?
Keep the skin moisturised, avoid sun exposure and wear a high-factor sunscreen daily.
Can I add exosomes?
Yes. Exosomes can be applied after treatment to support recovery, at £350 per treatment.
Can it be combined with injectables?
Yes, either in a planned sequence or a few days apart. We will advise on timing.
