Skin boosters
Skin boosters are micro-injections of hyaluronic acid and nutrients placed into the deeper layers of the skin. They improve hydration, elasticity and glow across a whole area, rather than adding volume in one place.

About the treatment
How it works
Skin boosters are very fine injections of hyaluronic acid, sometimes combined with amino acids and vitamins, placed just beneath the surface across the whole treatment area.
Where filler shapes a single feature, skin boosters work on the quality of the skin itself: how hydrated, smooth and elastic it is. We offer several products, including Juvéderm Skinvive, and recommend one based on your skin at consultation.
Your appointment
What happens, step by step
Consultation
We talk through your concerns and medical history, examine the area and explain your options, the cost and the risks. You can take time to think it over.
Preparation
On the day we confirm your consent, take photographs for your record, and cleanse the skin.
Treatment
After numbing cream, a series of tiny injections is placed evenly across the area.
Afterwards
You leave with written aftercare advice and our number. We check how you have settled at a review if one is needed.
Before
Preparing for your appointment
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before your appointment
- Tell us about any medication or supplements you take, including blood thinners. Do not stop prescribed medication without speaking to your GP
- Let us know if you are unwell, have a skin infection or a cold sore in the area, as we may need to rebook
- Tell us if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, as treatment is not carried out during this time
- Come with clean skin and no make-up on the area if you can
After
Looking after yourself afterwards
- Small bumps or pinpoint marks are normal and usually settle within a few days
- Leave make-up off for the rest of the day
- Skip strenuous exercise, alcohol, saunas and steam rooms for 24 hours
- Wear sunscreen daily
- Call us if redness or swelling is getting worse rather than better
